ABOUT YCAR

The Yolo County Association of REALTORS® are a non-profit professional trade association representing the needs of the real estate professionals in Yolo County. The Yolo County Association of REALTORS® (YCAR) was formed in 1922 as one of the first professional associations in our area.

Mission:

The mission of the Yolo County Association of REALTORS® is to empower REALTORS®, safeguard property rights, and protect homeownership in Yolo County through advocacy, education, and upholding the highest professional standards.

Vision:

To serve as the voice of Yolo County Real Estate while promoting the success of our members and protecting private property rights.

Annual Awards

REALTOR® of the Year

The REALTOR® of the Year Award is given to someone in the Association that represents the mission and vision of the association as well as someone that fulfills and embodies the code of ethics set forth for REALTORS®. This is an award that is bestowed upon one REALTOR® by their peers and fellow REALTORS®. The REALTOR® of the Year is also someone that is not only involved in their professional trade Association but someone that is very involved in the local community. The award recipient is always someone that is highly regarded and recognized as a leader in the real estate community and profession.

Affiliate of the Year – Yolo County Association of REALTORS®

The *Affiliate Business Partner of the Year* is given to someone that has shown great enthusiasm and leadership for the Association. The award recipient is someone that has gone above and beyond the normal role as an Affiliate member to support and promote the real estate industry and the REALTORS®. The Affiliate Member of the Year is someone that shows dedication and involvement in both the organization as well as with the local community and clients. The award winner is selected by the membership and thus it is a great honor to be given this distinction by your peers.

Mike Flowers Award

Mike Flowers Memorial Spirit Award is given upon nomination by a member of the Yolo County Association of REALTORS® and acceptance by the Board of Directors. The Mike Flowers Spirit Award is given to a Yolo County REALTOR®, a member of the Association, or a deserving member of the public. The award acknowledges that the recipient reflects the same indomitable and inspirational response to their life's challenges as Mike did, thus providing inspiration to all. Note: This award will not necessarily be given every year — only when the Board deems someone worthy of this designation.
